We love Sundays...

After a week apart (I was in Mississippi for work) we are especially grateful for the weekend!

Update

Well it's been a whirlwind of fun these past few weeks. Our West side of the family came to town, along with my friends Britany and Ashley, for the BYU v. OU game. It was the first football game to be played in Jerry Jones' new Cowboy's stadium...and WOW! I can't even begin to describe it...just check out the picture and you'll understand. And BYU won!!!! GO COUGS! Britany, Ashley and I went to 6 Flags before the game-I L-O-V-E rollercoasters. Other than that Hugh and I are both working full time and still love Dallas. Life is good my friends.

Success

For the first time ever I had the desire to blog about something totally random...so here I go. After several failed attempts at baking Gluten-free goodies, I have finally succeeded. Not just once, but twice in one weekend. I know-amazing. Thanks to Betty Crocker, and her new cookie, brownie and cake mixes, anyone can cook. So yummy chocolate chip cookies were a delight this weekend. And tonight we crossed our fingers as I hesitantly bit into some warm, home-made banana bread, and...DELICIOUS! I almost ate the whole thing tonight. Glutenfreeda.com is genius.
That is all.

Celebrate good times-

Chris and Britt are married finally!!! We are so happy. The weekend in Salt Lake was a whirlwind. Three friends got married Wednesday night, followed by a glorious weekend celebrating with Chris and Britt. It was all perfect and spending time with our families is priceless, especially now that we live so far away. We miss them already. Congrats to all of the Newelyweds! (Ha-which is still us too.)

Happy 26th HUGH

A day of surprises for Hughie.
BBQ and pool party at the McOmber's with all of his friends...

No laughing. It took me hours to make this cake...and I do realize it
looks like a kindergartener did it. Thank you.

Followed by a "surprise" (Hans accidently told Hugh) night at Billy Bob's...And a "surprise" visit from Andee and Jay from Houston (which somehow Hugh figured out).

Browsing the shops in Old-Town Grapevine...

26 years...

Love you babe.

A Taste of Dallas

Kind of like the Arts Festival downtown SLC. Live music. Food samples from all the local restaurants. Arts and crafts...good fun.
Kim, Hans & Aiden.

Sweet potato fries...mmmmm

Playing in the fountains with Aiden.

Canton Market

Imagine the biggest flee market you can. About 1 square mile of antiques and crafts and food and anything else you could think of wanting-or mostly never wanting. They have it all. My new found friend Kim, her darling one-year-old Aiden, and I drove an hour and a half to the middle of nowhere, shopped in the 105 degrees heat for 4 hours and didn't even see half of the market. Needless to say, we made a killing as you can see from this picture of my car overflowing with---stuff.
As they say-"One man's trash is another man's treasure."

protect the people of Houston.

Late night dinner at a "Jazz" Club (that only played classic rock) downtown Houston.

Playing in the fountains at Woodlands Mall.

Urban Outfitters...we took our eyes off of them for 5 minutes.
